Have a "Hoppy" Easter with your Little One!

Easter is just around the corner, and as a new (or soon-to-be new) mommy, you may be wondering how to make it your babies best Easter yet! Sure, you may have Easter eggs and a basket- but how do you get your little one engaged in all the festivities? Babies can’t exactly dye their own eggs yet, let alone run around to find the hidden eggs. We have listed some baby-friendly Easter traditions for you to try out below.

Read Easter-themed books. Make story-time Easter themed them and teach your little one all about the festive holiday. We love Where Are Baby’s Easter Eggs, Duck & Goose Here Comes the Easter Bunny and classic The Tale of Peter Rabbit.

Sort the Eggs Game. Your little one may not be able to run with the big kids during the Easter egg hunt- but that doesn’t mean you have to eliminate eggs from your Easter! Instead, get a basket of eggs and have your little one sort them out by color (or however they please). This helps with their development and engages them in a fun, holiday-themed activity. If you still want to go on an Easter egg hunt, have the parent do the hunting and your little one can help put them in the basket.

Egg Roll. No, we do not mean the side dish. If your little one is crawling, they will love this game! Simply roll the egg across the floor so they can crawl after it. Endless fun for both parents and their baby!

Make a basket. This may seem obvious, but when making a baby basket some are stumped on what to fill it with! For a baby, we suggest a stuffed animal (bunny, duck, chick, etc.), a rattle, pacifier and some plastic eggs!

We hope this helps make your baby’s Easter festive and fun! Do you have any ideas to add? Comment below!
