Mother's Day for First Time Mommies

Mother’s Day was this past weekend, and for new moms (or soon-to-be moms) this holiday may have been a little confusing. Do you celebrate even if you are still pregnant? How do you celebrate if you have a newborn? What do moms really do on Mother’s Day? At Cinch Tummy Wrap we think every day is Mother’s Day and that soon to-be-moms and new mommies alike should be showered with love and celebrate.

We have listed a few celebration ideas below to help you kick off your first Mother’s Day.

If you are expecting…

  • Couple’s Day: Once you have your little one finding alone time will be tough—so why not take advantage of this day to spend some time together! Go for a walk in the park, have a date night and do something you both love that may not be as easy with a baby.
  • Spa Day: Go get a mani/pedi (with or without your partner) – not only will your swollen feet thank you, but your body will finally have time to just relax.

If you have a Newborn…

  • Lunch with the Girls: As a new mom you may feel like you have lost contact with civilization, and we get it- you want to spend every moment with your precious newborn (but it would be nice to have a conversation that doesn’t involve the word ‘spit-up’). Take this day to get back out there and enjoy lunch catching up with your girlfriends!
  •  Pamper Yourself: With a newborn many moms are so focused on taking care of their baby they forget to take care of themselves! Take this day to finally get that haircut, take a nice long bath or anything you want—it’s your day!

We know that each and every one of you are already or will soon be the best mommies in the world and want to express our appreciation for all that you do! You have brought a new life into this world, celebrate it!
