Baby's First Holiday
As you new moms may already know, the Holidays are already a little stressful. Add a baby to the picture and things get kind of crazy. Especially if this is your baby’s first Holiday. Sure, relatives will ooh and aah at the newest addition to the family, but how do you keep your sanity during the moments in between? We have listed a few tips on how to make this a stress-free, fun-filled Holiday.
Relax, it’s the Holidays! Everywhere seems to be buzzing during the Holidays, but remember—this is a time to relax rather than run around. Remember to take a break for some “me” time every once in a while to get yourself back on track. This could be taking a quick nap or just closing your eyes and breathing steady for a few minutes. Whatever keeps you calm, relaxed and stress-free is the way to go!
You Aren’t Alone. This rule is especially true if you are hosting the annual Holiday celebration. When thinking about all of the people you will have to entertain, food you have to prepare and gifts you have to label you might want to run in the closet and hide. It is important to keep in mind that you do NOT have to do this all by yourself and it is OKAY to ask for help. See if family members can each bring a side for dinner, or even if your partner can pick up the odds and ends at the store to prepare.
Tis the Season for Being Thankful. Remember what this season is all about, being thankful. You have a new little one in your life and the fun is only just beginning.
