Back to School!
It’s that time of the year again, summer is coming to an end and the start of the school year is just around the corner. For moms of their first newborn the school year may not mean so much, but for those with multiple children it may be one of the most hectic times of the year. At Cinch Tummy Wrap we want you to be happy (and a little less stressed) when it comes to your little ones first day.
Get them on a Schedule. Kids get so used to waking up late or staying up late during the summer that when it comes time to get up early for school they aren’t ready. Start by having them set their alarms as if they were going to school a week before classes start. This way, their body will be awake and ready to learn by the first day!
Get them excited! Ask your little one what they are most excited about for their first day. Explain to them that school is not only a place to learn, but a place to make friends and have fun! If that doesn’t get them excited, try reading them books about going back to school for bedtime—here are some great options from LilSugar.com.
Make sure they are prepared. There is nothing more embarrassing than walking into class and not having the correct supplies. Go supply shopping and make sure to check off the necessities like notebooks, pencils and a backpack! (This may also help get them excited about their first day).
Bring a Camera. If you are dropping your little one off at their first day of school be sure you have a camera (and maybe some tissues) handy. This is a memory you will want to document! If they are taking the bus, make sure they know where their stop is!
Hopefully these tips help you prepare for the big day, let us know how it goes in a comment! If any of you veteran moms out there have special tips share them below!
